Self taught painter who picked up a brush for the first time in April of ‘06. This outlet came from an unknown place, feeling completely natural, like riding a bike I had ridden in some previous life. It was then that I was able to express everything I kept pent up inside. Often escaping inside my over active imagination, my shy loner nature finally wasn't such a burden, but a key tool. It was a new found intuitive ability to paint, wherein I was both the creator and the witness. Highly influenced by metaphysical ideas and the romanticized world I live in, the blank canvases became pages of a story book of my mind. Doing a portrait is like stepping inside a person, trying to capture the beauty i see in them as best I can in each little detail of paint is my intention. I am constantly experimenting and growing with my approach to painting. As I grow and change as a person, so does my art. There is no limit to my imagination and creative drive...
